Avril Gau boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Pres
At last, Avril Gau has opened her own boutique in Paris! She started out designing shoes in the 1980s, first for Robert Clergerie then later for other household names, such as Chanel, Loewe, Charles Jourdan and Stéphane Kélian. Finally in 2002 Avril Gau launched her own label, but it was only in 2010 that she has opened her own outlet. The boutique, located in the heart of the Saint-Germain area at Odeon station. On two floors she presents her creations and shares her most precious discoveries, including “cologne from Acqua di Genova and the jewelry of Alex Monroe.”

Avril Gau offers everything from trendy heels to boots and sports wear as well as a collection of bags and small leather goods.
“The Avril Gau style is timeless: both classic and contemporary, retro and modern. To create her own vision for 2010, she plays with the rules of design. The uninhibited juxtaposition of materials, the use of an oversized buckle or an inverted zipper, harmonize with her signature clean lines.
Avril’s use of color is refined. The leathers from which she crafts her shoes and accessories are produced by Europe’s finest tanneries. The bags are produced in France, the shoes in Italy and Portugal.”
