Hotel Taylor – Best Value Boutique?

Despite the not so glamorous location (Republique) Hotel Taylor is a boutique hotels with a reputation in Paris. Why? because it seems to have the best value for money. With room rates starting from about €90 you can get a nice room for a nice price.
However shopping in the area isn’t the best. For a good shopping area you’ll need to take the metro to Printemps or Galleries Lafayette which are about 4-5 metro stops away. But if you’re not in for that kind of shopping you can go to the Marais district which is about 15 minute walk from the hotel and do some real boutique shopping just think about taking a taxi back as it’s a long walk with your hands full of bags.
Hotel has some nice features such as Bubble room and Lover’s room and more which go for a slightly higher price. It was renovated in 2008 so no smelly carpets and per online reviews the hotel’s number one advantage is friendly staff.
