Great budget hotel in a prestigious shopping quarter
Just a block from boulevard Haussmann and the famous department stores – Les Grands Magasins – L’Ouest Hotel is in a very prestigious quarter. The Printemps and Galeries Lafayette are a must for even those who are not seriously into shopping, and for those who are, there are many other trendy boutiques and shops in the quarter. Sights such as Parc Monceau, La Madeleine, the Garnier Opera and the Champs Elysées are all within easy reach on foot, and there is good access to other parts of Paris by metro – 5 lines cross at the Saint-Lazare metro station.
L’Ouest Hotel is a simple, but very decent and well-kept 2-star establishment – nothing too fancy about the design, but the rooms are comfortable and do have a certain boutique hotel charm. Stylish and contemporary in a reserved way, they have class beyond the official stars. The bathrooms are very modern and spotlessly clean – again, more than what you would expect in a budget hotel.
The reception and lounge area is a bit more simple, although still elegant, but that’s not where you are likely to spend your time. The hotel is in the center of action, and either if you are a shopper, a museum fan or after a nice meal and a drink, you will spend most of your time out – but L’Ouest Hotel is an excellent base where you will love to return every night.
